History of the Ancient Temple at the North

The Ancient and Abandoned Temple of The Gods

Iscros – The Foundation of the Eakor – Destroyer of Elves

The place is located far in the north. There is about five hundred miles of Tundra. A notorious, freezing area, certainly not safe place to live. That nameless fucker, about eight-feet tall beetle like monster is moving slowly after you. Don’t worry, you are safe as long as you are not bleeding, as the smell of fresh blood is what gets this giant beetle interested to move. And if the shit hit the fan and this creature is after you, then it’s better to run and fast. If it’s a cat’s, it’s a painful dead feeling like thousands of fiery nails to strike through your skin and melting. That venom last 2-10 days and only if you are lucky to have some kind of wizard, you can be cured. But the scars last…

That creature was an ancient safe mechanism to protect this beautiful dale from evil. The dale what was originally place for demi-gods and a high ranking kings and wizards who used to be good terms with those demi-gods. Nores was the most powerful of these guys. He was a many feet long, spartan like warrior look who had a pretty chill personality. He just wanted people to live at peace and not to get involved with them.
But evil forces wanted to take Nores down. So the opposite cult against the Nores, had demi-gods to create dragons which they thought would kill finally him so they can come to do evil deeds without Nores involving.

Unfortunately for evil guys, Nores tamed the dragon. It became his best friend. Even thought the dragon was able to fly, Nores was down to earth and wasn’t so interested to get quick adrealine fix of flying in the highs. On the other hand, the dragon was good for transporting the elite blacksmiths and engineers to the dale. There they started a huge work while hanging with god-alike beings.

This temple they build, and Nores wanted to make sure that his pet has a good place to relax, only orders were “Make it aesthetic enough and more importantly, create as comfortable bed as possible to this dragon here” he pointed the huge one-hundred-mile long dragon who now had only a hard rock where to sleep on. And they planned that the roof of the temple was designed as a massive bowl. After finishing it, the dragon had a good place to chill out. Also with the precise eyes of the dragon, it could see far away in the tundra at the south if someone was trying to come there. Even though the beetle was almost automated by being able to agro it with fresh blood, as the there were lot of thornbushes on the tundra where the wanderers could easily get some scratches, only to attract the attention of that giant monster.

But many of those people who were building and planning this temple, had a families also. But the dale had a rules of the dale, only certain people chosen by the gods are able to come there. The engineers didn’t want to kill their families by asking them to walk over five-hundred miles and then being catch by the protection mechanism. They had to ask permission for building a secret harbor on the high cliffs on the northern cost. Nores agreed, but he wanted to personally see how it was planned and all the details what kept it secret. The harbor and secret underground tunnels creation didn’t took a long time, so many of the builders could secretly go to see their family far in the south.

So it was, that blacksmiths got buffed up to lifespan many times of average mortal human. There the engineers planned this huge project. The papyrus of the original architecture was lost, and many thousand years later greedy people were selling “real one’s” as real copies of the original patterns.
After the temple was finished, some of the builders who were blessed by gods with a longer lifespan, left the place forever to still be able to retire and spend time with grand children.

The rules of the ship transport were really strict for this secret place, and only if it wasn’t one of the chief engineers, someone who left could still retain the long lifespan, but they were cursed under the spell of erasing the memory of the whole dale and the temple. Some of the builders liked to live in that beautiful dale, as the tundra was a dry steppe, the dale was surrounded by small mountains and there was green meadow only. Many flowers and colorful butterflies, the place started to remind a real paradise…
But evil forces had their evil twists to bait Nores and the crew to get involved in south. Long story short, all those higher beings in the northern realm were lost. They never came back and this place was abandoned. A huge temple made of black rock was laying empty there along the small village on the northern coast where the builders did live…

Centuries of lost and forgotten, only to have legends and copies of those papyrus paintings of the building patterns…

But it was not end of the human race who lived at the south. Wanderers around the world did found this place accidentally, and the rumors of it’s location were spread. At some point, a big and fat, hairy boss of the rogue syndicate heard about that there is abandoned temple somewhere in the north…
He was a psycho. And he had a ruthless reputation. He and his crew kidnapped those wanderers and burst out all the information about the route and how to get into this temple. Out of fear this fat criminal cruel reputation, the syndicate was able to locate this forgotten place. So they took it as their new hideout. Armies and law enforcement down the south was not interested to chase them all the way through the tundra. Neither was the evil guys, they had their on motives at the south after Nores was baited out from his hideout.

It’s nowadays still from the outside majestic, but inside it’s filled with other kind of evil nature of the human race. But for outlaws who legit were the guys “I didn’t do anything”, it’s a dilemma to live around all kinds of criminals there.

Still beatiful dale it is… Those fells and small mountains around it. Fresh air from the northern sea wind… Meadows are still green and soft. Yet are flowers and butterflies. Often there can be seen polar lights, especially at the autumn or at the winter.
