A classic, world-driven fantasy setting

The Lost North — A World of Fading Kingdoms

A quiet, Tolkien-inspired fantasy world shaped by memory, ruin, and fragile oaths. Two novellas, shorter tales... And more to come... To explore how old choices echo across the ages. Alongside the fiction, over a hundred hand-drawn pencil sketches and maps reveal the traces of a world still in the making.

This world has not been built all at once, but returned to again and again — maps redrawn, names revised, histories deepened over the course of many years. Some parts have followed me from one stage of life to another; others have changed completely as I have changed with them. What you see here is not a finished construct, but the current layer of a work that continues to grow alongside me.

Proof of the World

Not all of the work behind the world appears directly on the page. Much of it lives in notebooks, margin notes, and layers of maps and sketches that were never meant to be seen — but have shaped what remains.

About the World

The stories take place in the fading kingdoms of the North — a world where loyalty is fragile, memory is heavy, and power rarely belongs to those who seek it most. Some tales follow rulers on the edge of war; others stay close to roads, taverns and small lives caught in the currents of history.

If you enjoy slow-burning, world-driven fantasy with a sense of melancholy and history, this world is written for you.

Where to Begin

If you're new to the world, the best place to start is Book I. The opening chapters move slowly and give time to settle into the atmosphere — the free sample below lets you see whether the tone resonates with you.

Recommended Reading Order

The stories are written to stand on their own, but if you prefer to follow a suggested path through the North, this is a simple starting point:

  1. Book I — The Hunt For The Vanishing Magic Of The Lost North: your first step into the fading kingdoms. Read free on Kindle Unlimited!
  2. >Book II — [Title]: the fractures widen and older truths surface. Continue with Book 2
  3. Shorter Tales (forthcoming): optional side paths between and around the main books. Grimdark shorter tales, click here

More stories are planned. The order above will expand as new books and shorter tales are added.
